Loving Memories

Pets bring so much joy and love into our lives, so when we lose a cherished furry family member it can be so difficult. Memorializing a beloved pet can be a comforting way to honor their life and the bond that you shared.

We at the Greene County Animal Alliance created this page as a way to honor your pet. Making a donation to help animals in need is another beautiful way to honor them.

Pet Memorials

Rescued as a kitten, along with the rest of her cat colony in Sullivan County, NY, our beloved BB passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge when she was nearly 20 years old. She braved her 2-year struggle with chronic kidney disease like a soldier, enduring sub-cutaneous fluid treatments and pills.

In happier days she loved playing fetch with twist ties, cuddling (when the mood would strike her), and especially “Sushi Sundays” when she got her weekly treat of sashimi. She also had some great ninja moves, like the time she reached up and smacked my eye glasses from my face, looking quite pleased with herself. She’ll always live in our hearts.

Freyja was a rescue from Mountain Rottie Rescue.  She was her dad's favorite.  They would play ball for hours.  Even though Freyja was a big dog she believed she was a lap dog!   Freyja was diagnosed with Lymphoma.  She received chemo and radiation but nothing worked.  She was 9 years old when she crossed  the Rainbow Bridge.  She was very loved and is very missed.

Willow

Willow was a rescue about 12 years ago.  She loved training and running obstacle courses.  Willow's family took her on many vacations to the Carolina coast, which she enjoyed very much.  Willow is missed by her family every day.
